La Invasión Británica
El éxito arrollador de los Beatles en Estados Unidos, abrio la puerta de este mercado para otros músicos británicos.
El término “invasión británica” describe un período musical a mediados de la década de 1960, durante el cual los artistas de rock británicos dominaron las listas musicales estadounidenses.
La invasión británica comenzó a fines de 1963 y terminó a principios de 1967, cuando el Rock psicodélico se convirtió en la corriente principal con bandas como Greadful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, entre otros.
Estos artistas británicos se clasifican solo por sus acciones y grabaciones de 1963 a 1966.
Se tuvieron en cuenta el éxito en las listas de éxitos en los EE.UU. y el Reino Unido, la popularidad duradera de su trabajo grabado, la influencia de sus grabaciones y espectáculos en vivo y el impacto musical.
Aunque el término invasión británica solo se usa para bandas y músicos británicos que estuvieron presentes en las listas estadounidenses, esta lista también incluye artistas que no tuvieron ningún éxito en los EE. UU. pero que estaban activos en ese momento.
No todas estas bandas tenían el mismo género de música y sus estilos también eran diferentes.
